MOJOKERTO, May 26, 2025. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) continues to synergize with East Java Provincial Government programs to provide the best service to the public. One form of Bank Jatim's support is facilitating the ease of payment for Trans Jatim bus transportation. Thanks to the excellent service provided by Bank Jatim, on Monday (26/5), the bank received an appreciation from the East Java Provincial Government for its cooperation in organizing non-cash payment services via QRIS on the Trans Jatim E-Ticketing system.

Held at the Mojosari Terminal in Mojokerto, the certificate was presented by the Head of the East Java Provincial Transportation Agency, Dr. Nyono, and received by Bank Jatim's Director of Micro, Retail & Sharia Business, R. Arief Wicaksono, during the Inauguration of Trans Jatim Bus Corridor VI (Mojokerto - Sidoarjo). Also present at the event were the Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, and the Regent of Mojokerto, Al-Barra.

Arief expressed his gratitude to the Provincial Government for the appreciation given to Bank Jatim. “We have indeed collaborated with the East Java Transportation Agency to provide non-cash payment support through Bank Jatim's QRIS. It’s practical—just open mobile banking and scan the QRIS barcode. So, people who want to use Trans Jatim bus transportation no longer need to worry about the hassle,” he stated.

Arief explained that Bank Jatim will continue to support programs initiated by the East Java Provincial Government for the convenience of the public. ”This is also in line with the National Non-Cash Movement (GNNT) program initiated by Bank Indonesia, making it easier for both passengers and bus operators,” he said.

According to Arief, Trans Jatim can provide safe, comfortable, and punctual transportation services to the community at an affordable price. Most importantly, such public transportation is expected to reduce congestion and lower the potential for traffic accidents. Therefore, Bank Jatim is grateful to contribute to the non-cash payment system in Trans Jatim. In this modern era, non-cash payment systems have become a necessity to facilitate public payments, and additionally, funds can be directly deposited into accounts in real-time, making it highly efficient in terms of time and effort. ”We are committed to continuing the development of digital payments to support the acceleration of digitalization. Hopefully, through this activity, Bank Jatim can continue to be a good partner for the East Java Provincial Government and all its products and services can benefit all customers,” he said.

Meanwhile, Khofifah added that the existence of this bus service is expected to meet the transportation needs of workers, especially labor unions operating in the Ngoro Industrial Area. "Transportation plays a vital role in the development of a region. This is the answer; hopefully, it provides great benefits for the community,” she said.

PT Bagong Dekaka Makmur, trusted as the operator for Corridor VI, will operate 14 buses (7 from Mojokerto and 7 from Porong), along with 2 backup buses. Currently, there are 65 bus stop points for boarding and alighting along the Trans Jatim Corridor VI route. The distance of this route is approximately 45 km with a travel time of about 45 minutes per trip. The departure interval between buses is 10-15 minutes during peak hours and 25-30 minutes during off-peak hours.

This service is expected not only to facilitate public mobility but also to provide a multiplier effect by contributing to the improvement of the residents' economy. Khofifah emphasized that the addition of the new Trans Jatim Corridor VI route is a commitment of the East Java Provincial Government as an implementation of "Jatim Akses" (East Java Access) as stated in the Nawa Bhakti Satya. ”The addition of well-integrated Corridor VI services will increase productivity, expand access to various facilities, and improve community welfare," she concluded.

Khofifah is optimistic that this program can drive the economic growth of residents, especially in Mojokerto Regency, by connecting the Gerbangkertasusila region. Previously, the Trans Jatim bus service had five active corridors: Corridor I (Sidoarjo-Surabaya-Gresik), Corridor II (Mojokerto-Surabaya), Corridor III (Mojokerto-Gresik), Corridor IV (Gresik-Lamongan), and Corridor V (Surabaya-Bangkalan). During the period of January–December 2024, Trans Jatim operations for Corridors I to V recorded 4,715,809 passengers.
