- Data from Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) reveals that economic growth in the second quarter of 2024 stood at 5.05% (yoy), continuing the positive performance from the previous quarter, which saw growth of 5.11% (yoy).
- Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) recorded annual inflation of 2.12% in August 2024. Meanwhile, on a monthly basis, there was a deflation of 0.03%, and calendar year (year-to-date) inflation stood at 0.87%.
- Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves stood at USD 145.4 billion at the end of July 2024, an increase compared to the position at the end of June 2024, which was USD 140.2 billion.
- The Bank Indonesia Board of Governors Meeting held on August 20-21, 2024, decided to maintain the BI-Rate at 6.25%, the Deposit Facility rate at 5.50%, and the Lending Facility rate at 7.00%.
