BANTEN, September 11, 2023. The East Java Provincial Government (Pemprov) again organized Trade and Investment Mission activities. This time, the activity aimed at strengthening the potential of inter-provincial trade was carried out in Banten. Of course, PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk or bankjatim fully supports these activities. One form of support provided by bankjatim is by facilitating 3 (three) of its fostered MSMEs to take part in the Trade Mission in Banten. Located at Aston Serang Hotel and Convention Center, this activity was attended by East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa, PJ Governor of Banten Al Muktabar, and President Director of bankjatim Busrul Iman.

Busrul explained that MSMEs have become one of the supporters of Indonesia, especially East Java, in passing through various economic phases. Therefore, bankjatim is committed to always be present in supporting and providing solutions for the development of MSMEs. "Not only support in the field of funding, bankjatim also presents solutions for the development of MSMEs in East Java both in terms of promotion and market access. Therefore, we facilitate MSMEs fostered by bankjatim to participate in this trade mission in Banten, "he explained.

In addition, including bankjatim-assisted MSMEs in Trade Mission activities is a form of real support from the company to MSMEs in order to upgrade and be able to compete in a wider market. "We are committed to continue to make various efforts so that these MSMEs can get a strategic platform to introduce their products to potential markets," he said.

As for the bankjatim assisted MSMEs that participated in the Trade Mission activities in Banten, namely Parama Art (handicraft products from Surabaya), Rotanku (handicraft products from Surabaya), and Bawang Azura (processed onion food products from Nganjuk).

In addition to facilitating marketing, bankjatim also encourages all of its fostered MSMEs to go digital so that the market reach is even wider. "Not only in marketing through e-commerce, but in payments we also familiarize them with non-cash transactions, such as through QRIS," he said.

The Trade and Investment Mission in Banten has successfully recorded a transaction commitment of Rp 340.4 billion. In her remarks, Khofifah hoped that the Trade and Investment Mission in Banten would further strengthen the synergy between East Java Province and Banten Province. "Activities like this are part of strengthening partnerships to improve productivity relations and economic relations with Banten. In addition, it can also improve the UMKM strata to become compatible UMKM and make the market wider," said the number one person in East Java.

Meanwhile, Khofifah also gave appreciation to bankjatim for presenting the performance art of the original Tuban batik wastra fostered by bankjatim called Batik Dodot Iro. According to Khofifah, Batik Dodot Iro when viewed at a glance has a thick material and tends to be hard. "However, this batik is actually also suitable when used for blouses and semi suits because it has a 100 percent cotton content," she explained.

Then what amazes me even more is that most of Dodot Iro's batik makers are young people. "When painting the batik, the young people just flow. It seems like it is already in their imagination, so that if there is an order, they immediately draw it and the results are symmetrical," Khofifah emphasized.
