South Malang Disaster Relief: Bank Jatim Distributes Aid to Victims.

MALANG REGENCY, December 3, 2024. The floods that occurred in South Malang, Malang Regency, in late November 2024, have caused significant losses. The disaster resulted in extensive damage, both material and non-material, ranging from damaged houses and bridges to several regency roads. It is known that six sub-districts in the regency were affected by the flooding.
Witnessing this, bankjatim, as the bank for the people of East Java, did not remain idle. Through its Kepanjen Branch, bankjatim has made several efforts to help ease the burden on the affected victims. On Tuesday (3/12), the Regent of Malang, Sanusi, together with the Branch Manager of Bank Jatim Malang, Five Seodisa Adha Purnama Hidayat, symbolically handed over basic food supplies to the affected victims.
Bankjatim Corporate Secretary, Wioga Adhiarma Aji, stated that in line with bankjatim’s mission and commitment to making a positive contribution in the face of natural disasters, BJTM quickly provided assistance to flood victims in the form of basic necessities. "We express our deep condolences for the flood disaster that has affected our brothers and sisters in Malang. The aid we are distributing is expected to provide encouragement and support for the victims in facing this trial," he said.
According to Wioga, recognizing the urgency of providing aid and support to flood victims, bankjatim collaborated with the Malang Regency Government to ensure that the assistance is distributed efficiently to those in need. This is also an effort to alleviate the burden currently being faced.
Wioga explained that the assistance provided by bankjatim is intended not only to help victims in emergency situations but also as a form of solidarity and concern for the people of Malang affected by the disaster. “We hope the aid we distribute can provide some relief to those affected. May this assistance serve as a beacon of light amidst the difficult situation faced by the victims and become a motivation for better collective recovery efforts in the future,” he concluded.
