Playing wholeheartedly, Bank Jatim wins PORMI championship

Surabaya, September 23, 2023 | In order to enliven the 78th Anniversary of East Java Province and increase synergy and collaboration between stake holders, PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) participated in the 2023 East Java Industrial Partners Sports Week (PORMI) at SIER Sport Arena Surabaya on Saturday (23/09). The activity, which was attended by the Department of Industry and Trade (Disperindag) and 8 Industrial Partner Companies in East Java, competed in 5 Sports Branches (Sports).
In the tournament, bankjatim proudly became the General Champion after successfully winning first place in each of the four sports namely Futsal, Table Tennis, Field Tennis, and Volleyball. While Badminton Sports must be satisfied in second place after the final must recognize the superiority of PT Gudang Garam Tbk. The jatimers in each sport followed the match with enthusiasm, sportsmanship and wholeheartedly.
Present at the opening of the event was the Regional Secretary of East Java Province Adhy Karyono, Director of Finance, Treasury and Global Services bankjatim Edi Masrianto, Head of Department of Disperindag Iwan, as well as leaders of Industrial Partners who participated in the event.
Adhy Karyono in his speech said that this activity was one of a series of welcoming the 78th Anniversary of East Java Province. "We are grateful that after the Covid-19 pandemic until now, East Java has shown increasingly impressive economic growth, recorded at 5.24 percent above the national average and was able to contribute 14.45 percent of Indonesia's GDP, and contribution to Java Island 25.54%. "From these data, it turns out that the biggest contribution in East Java is from the industrial sector," explained Adhy Karyono.
"This shows that industrial partners for East Java are our most important partners so that we can synergize and collaborate in increasing economic growth in East Java". Adhy Karyono said.
"Something that must also be considered at this time is how to improve the quality of Human Resources (HR), one of which is by providing space for employees to exercise and have the opportunity to excel at the Provincial level," added Adhy Karyono.
"We advised the athletes to play sports and have the opportunity to excel at the Provincial level," added Adhy Karyono.
"We advise athletes from each industrial partner company to continue to uphold sportsmanship and togetherness, make this moment to foster solidarity and friendship between industrial partners, not just chasing the title of champion", Adhy Karyono said.
Medium Corporate Director Edi Masrianto who attended the ceremonial handover of the Champion was grateful that bankjatim became the General Champion in this PORMI activity.
