In Commemoration of Its 63rd Anniversary, Bank Jatim Successfully Holds the 2024 Open Golf Tournament

Pasuruan, July 13, 2024 – In celebration of its 63rd anniversary, PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) held the 2024 Open Golf Tournament on Saturday (July 13) with the theme "Never Give Up". The event was held at Taman Dayu Golf & Resort and was attended by Edi Masrianto, the Director of Finance, Treasury & Global Services at bankjatim; R. Arief Wicaksono, the Director of Micro, Retail, and Medium Banking at bankjatim; Eko Susetyono, the Director of Risk Management at bankjatim; and Arif Suhirman, the Director of Operations at bankjatim.
Also present at the event were Bandoe Widiarto, the Deputy Representative of Bank Indonesia in East Java; Nasirwan, the Director of Financial Services Institutions (LJK) 1 OJK (Financial Services Authority) East Java Province; Hendy Siswanto, the Regent of Jember; and Bambang Soekwanto, the Acting Regent of Bondowoso.
In his speech, Arif Suhirman explained that the golf tournament, followed by a Gala Dinner, is expected to further strengthen the bond and cohesion between bankjatim, regional heads, Forkopimda (Regional Leadership Communication Forum) across East Java, regulators, and the bank’s business partners who have collaborated well over the years. Bankjatim also sought prayers and support from all regional heads, Bank Indonesia, OJK, and the Forkopimda in East Java to continue working in synergy with bankjatim to achieve a better economy for East Java.
"We hope that events like this can be held every year with even more exciting activities and with more participants from all regions in East Java joining us," he said.
A total of 200 golfers participated in the Open Golf Tournament. Seeing this, Arif highly appreciated the enthusiasm and spirit of all the participants. "Not only male golfers, but female golfers also participated in this prestigious event. One by one, the golfers showed their spirit as they aimed to sink the ball into the hole," he said. The tournament featured two shotgun sessions, the first session starting at 6:30 AM WIB and the second session at 12:00 PM WIB. The total prizes amounted to hundreds of millions of rupiahs. Additionally, there was a grand lucky draw, which included four savings accounts of IDR 25 million each, four savings accounts of IDR 10 million each, and two units of 5-gram gold bars.
