Improve Community Welfare, Bank Jatim Hand over CSR RTLH Rehabilitation to Bondowoso Regency Government

BONDOWOSO, September 22, 2023. In order to help alleviate poverty in Bondowoso Regency, PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) has officially provided Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assistance to the Bondowoso Regency Government in the form of rehabilitation of 10 units of Uninhabitable Houses (RTLH). Located at the Bondowoso Hall, the CSR handover was carried out symbolically by bankjatim's Vice President of Subsidiary Management Glemboh Priambodo to the Regent of Bondowoso K.H. Salwa Arifin on Friday (22/9).

The President Director of bankjatim Busrul Iman explained, the provision of CSR is a form of corporate social responsibility to the surrounding environment. In addition, it is also an effort to support the Bondowoso Regency Government program in terms of improving the quality of community welfare. "This RTLH rehabilitation assistance is also a form of our appreciation for the people of Bondowoso for giving trust and support to bankjatim in developing business," he said.

According to Busrul, the repair of RTLH carried out by bankjatim is not solely intended to improve the condition of the house into a healthy and livable home only. But behind it, there are wider benefits. "Such as improving the quality of life and health status of the community, poverty alleviation, structuring the residential environment, and increasing the social resilience of the community," he said.

Because, Busrul continued, good social resilience is a very important asset to maintain a conducive atmosphere in the community. So that various district development programs can be run according to plan. "We hope that bankjatim can continue to have a positive impact on society, especially the people of Bondowoso Regency," he concluded.

Meanwhile, K.H. Salwa Arifin greatly appreciated and expressed his deepest gratitude to bankjatim for the assistance that had been given because it could have a real impact on the people of Bondowoso. "With CSR assistance from bankjatim, now underprivileged people in Bondowoso Regency can have healthy and livable homes. Hopefully this will be a blessing for our residents and a trigger for other social activities in Bondowoso Regency," he said.
