SURABAYA, November 22, 2024. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) officially handed over Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assistance to the East Java Community Eye Hospital (RSMM) on Friday (22/11). The contribution consisted of one operational vehicle unit. Held at the RSMM East Java premises, the donation was symbolically presented by bankjatim’s AVP of Corporate Communications, Bambang Supriadi, to the Director of RSMM East Java, Eka Basuki Rachmad.

President Director of bankjatim, Busrul Iman, explained that the provision of this operational vehicle serves several strategic objectives. Key among them is bringing healthcare services closer to the community and bridging the accessibility gap for those with limited reach to advanced medical facilities. Furthermore, this CSR initiative aims to enhance the early detection of visual impairments, reduce cases of blindness, and support the implementation of public health outreach programs. ”Through this operational vehicle, we aim to optimize healthcare delivery beyond the hospital’s walls to improve public welfare, serving as a realization of the 'Nawa Bhakti Satya' regional vision,” he elaborated.

Busrul emphasized that bankjatim remains steadfast in its commitment to conducting positive initiatives that yield tangible benefits for the wider community. Beyond eye healthcare, the bank continues to take concrete steps to elevate society's overall quality of life. ”Our support is not limited to the realm of ophthalmic health; we are actively involved in various humanitarian efforts to assist those in need. This CSR handover is a testament to bankjatim’s commitment to playing an active role in sustainable economic development for institutions, communities, and the surrounding population,” he remarked.

Furthermore, Busrul added that the CSR program is a cornerstone of supporting sustainable development and an implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG). This contribution demonstrates that bankjatim’s operations extend beyond purely commercial activities. The bank’s business operations are consistently balanced with social responsibility initiatives that foster the growth of community well-being and environmental health. ”With the addition of this operational vehicle, bankjatim facilitates faster and more optimal healthcare delivery, particularly in emergency situations requiring immediate intervention,” he asserted.

Eka Basuki Rachmad expressed his profound gratitude to bankjatim for the enduring partnership. He voiced his hope that the collaboration between the two institutions would continue to flourish in the future. ”We highly appreciate bankjatim’s attentiveness toward healthcare services for the people of East Java. We will utilize this assistance to its fullest potential to serve the community optimally. It is our hope that with this support, RSMM East Java can be even more effective in fulfilling its humanitarian mission,” he concluded.
