JAKARTA, August 28, 2025. The grand event Bank Jatim Bromo Marathon 2025 is being held again this year. The prestigious running event, which will be held on September 7, 2025, has successfully attracted more than 2,000 runners from various countries. Not only runners from Indonesia, but runners from Australia, China, Italy, Malaysia, Thailand, Poland, Portugal, India, Canada, Germany, Korea, and Japan are also enthusiastic about participating in the Bank Jatim Bromo Marathon 2025.
As a sign of the start of this annual activity, a Press Conference for the Bank Jatim Bromo Marathon was held with the media on Thursday (28/8). Located at Patio by Plataran Jakarta, the Press Conference was attended by Bank Jatim Vice President of Funds & Services Yetty Fitria S., CEO & Founder of Plataran Indonesia Yozua Makes, Founder of Bromo Marathon & CEO of Galanesia Dedik Kurniawan, and Travel & Lifestyle Influencer Febrian.
Yetty explained that Bank Jatim fully supports the organization of this event. Meanwhile, Dedik Kurniawan also stated that this event is not just a running competition, but also introduces the potential that exists in the Pasuruan region. “For the full marathon, we have a new route highlight via Kandang Sari or what is better known on TikTok as 'Bukit Premium,' so this is currently very viral," he said.
Participants are guaranteed to enjoy an iconic and challenging running route. For the Full Marathon category, runners will start with a steep downhill road, followed by a climb to an altitude of up to 2,491 meters above sea level. Along the path, runners will be treated to dramatic views of the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, known as one of the most beautiful national parks in the world.
Yozua added that the route will also take participants through the traditional villages of the Tengger tribe such as Ngadiwono, Pandansari, and Mororejo, as well as along misty valleys and volcanic slopes that create a magical atmosphere. The combination of natural beauty, physical challenges, and local cultural nuances is what makes the Bromo Marathon one of the most anticipated running events in Southeast Asia.
