Beautifying Sarangan Lake Sidewalks: Bank Jatim Delivers Decorative Lighting CSR.

MAGETAN, April 30, 2025. As a form of corporate social responsibility to the surrounding environment, PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) continues to actively distribute Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to various regions, including the Magetan Regency Government. Held at the Suryagraha Pavilion, CSR in the form of Sidewalk Decorative Lighting for the Sarangan Lake area was symbolically handed over by Bank Jatim's Director of IT, Digital & Operations, Zulhelfi Abidin, to the Acting Regent of Magetan, Nizhamul, on Wednesday (30/4).
Zulhelfi explained that the provision of decorative lights along the sidewalks of the Sarangan Lake area can enhance public facilities and infrastructure while adding comfort and beauty to the surroundings. “With these decorative lights, the sidewalks around the Sarangan Lake area will become more beautiful, especially at night. Furthermore, nighttime activities will also increase. Merchants and other business actors will have longer operational hours, leading to an increase in the number of visitors. Naturally, this high visitation will trigger economic activity and growth in Magetan,” he explained.
Therefore, bankjatim hopes that the cooperation with Magetan Regency will continue to be well-maintained in the future. “This assistance is also a manifestation of our love and concern for the people of Magetan, who have provided trust and support to bankjatim in developing its business. We hope it serves as inspiration and brings a positive impact to the environment and the community,” he stated.
Zulhelfi also added that various Bank Jatim services have been utilized to provide convenience for the public in transacting, especially in today's era of digitalization, including the use of QRIS and e-channels for the payment of local taxes and levies. “We hope that the collaboration between Bank Jatim and the Magetan Regency Government can continue to grow to support the regional economy."
Nizhamul expressed his deepest gratitude to bankjatim for the CSR program, which can now be enjoyed by the community. He expressed hope that this program would continue in the future, as it not only beautifies the area at the Sarangan gateway but also impacts the increase of tourist visits and local economic growth. “These lights provide a modern and attractive impression. We hope tourists will be increasingly interested in visiting Sarangan,” he said.
