GRESIK, April 14, 2023. The East Java Provincial Government has officially added the Trans Jatim bus corridor I route Sidoarjo - Surabaya - Gresik on Friday (14/4) at the Gresik Regent's office. The inauguration was carried out directly by East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa. Bank Jatim IT and Digital Director Zulhelfi Abidin was also present at the inauguration of the additional Trans Jatim Corridor I bus fleet.

In her speech, Khofifah explained that the fleet added as many as 10 units for operational and 1 spare bus unit. Previously, there were only 20 operational units and 2 reserve units for corridor I. "With this addition, the total fleet becomes 30 operational units and 3 reserve units," she said.

His side hopes that Trans Jatim mass transportation can improve connectivity between regions and can realize economic growth. "The load factor of Trans Jatim is quite high above 100%. So with the addition of the fleet, passenger waiting time which was previously 30 minutes can be cut to 15 minutes. Then those who usually wait 15 minutes can be 10 minutes," said Khofifah. So that in the future passengers no longer need to wait for the Trans Jatim bus for a long time.

In terms of payment, currently people who want to use Trans Jatim bus transportation also do not need to bother. Because, the payment can already use QRIS bankjatim. "In this case we are working with the East Java Transportation Agency to provide support for non-cash payment tools, namely QRIS. Practically, just open JConnect and scan the QRIS bankjatim barcode, "said Zulhelfi.

According to him, bankjatim will continue to support programs carried out by the East Java Provincial Government for the convenience of the community. "This is also in line with the National Non-Cash Movement (GNNT) program initiated by Bank Indonesia, so that it can facilitate passengers and bus operators," said Zulhelfi.

He also emphasized that this non-cash payment system is a necessity for the Transportation Agency to facilitate the community and can be directly entered into accounts in real time, making it more efficient in terms of time and energy.

Meanwhile, bankjatim QRIS continues to experience rapid development. Throughout 2022, bankjatim QRIS has been used by 62,500 users with nominal transactions reaching Rp 303 billion. "We will continue to develop digital payments to support the acceleration of digitalization. Hopefully through this activity bankjatim can continue to be a good partner for the East Java Provincial Government and all its products and services can be useful for all customers," he concluded.
