Bank Jatim Named 'MSME Development Accelerator' at 2024 Detik Jatim Awards.

SURABAYA, November 25, 2024. In recognition of its dedication to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim), the largest Regional-Owned Enterprise (BUMD) in East Java, successfully clinched a prestigious award at the 2024 Detik Jatim Awards. Organized by Detik.com, the event honored bankjatim with the "Commendable Business Program" award in the MSME Development Accelerator category. Held at the Dyandra Convention Center in Surabaya, the award was presented by the Director of Trans Media, Latif Harnoko, and received directly by the President Director of bankjatim, Busrul Iman, on Thursday evening (25/11).
Busrul expressed his profound gratitude to Detik Jatim and Detik.com for the recognition. ”This achievement is the result of the collective hard work of all stakeholders, including our shareholders, local governments, 'Jatimers' (employees), customers, and the community. We hope this appreciation further ignites our spirit to continue contributing to the public’s economic welfare and driving economic growth in East Java and Indonesia,” he elaborated.
According to Busrul, MSMEs possess immense potential to serve as the primary engine for East Java’s economy. With millions of MSMEs spread across the region, they do not only provide employment but also serve as a foundational pillar for economic growth. ”We remain committed to fostering MSME growth by providing various banking products and services tailored to their specific needs. The opportunity for MSMEs to accelerate the economy is vast, particularly through product innovation, digitalization, and market expansion into international territories,” he explained.
He further noted that such growth requires robust support from various parties, including the banking sector, to provide mentorship, access to financing, and training. ”To support MSMEs, we have implemented several programs, such as the Trade Connect Summit, Diskofest, and the large-scale distribution of production equipment. We are also aggressively distributing various types of financing to ensure their progress and welfare, enabling East Javanese MSMEs to compete on both national and global levels,” he added.
Bank Jatim’s financial performance reflects this commitment. In the second quarter of 2024, the bank’s total credit disbursement reached IDR 58.07 trillion, an 18.01% (YoY) increase. By the third quarter, this figure rose to IDR 62.19 trillion, a 20.13% (YoY) increase. Specifically:

Consumptive Credit: Reached IDR 33.79 trillion in Q3 2024 (+13.20% YoY).

Productive Credit: Reached IDR 28.40 trillion in Q3 2024 (+29.57% YoY). ”With the strategic steps we have taken, bankjatim is optimistic about continuing its contribution to MSME development and driving the economic prosperity of East Java,” Busrul concluded.
