SURABAYA, August 30, 2024 — As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) to the surrounding community, PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) has officially handed over a CSR donation to the East Java Provincial Civil Service Agency (BKD). The donation consisted of one ambulance unit for the East Java Provincial KORPRI (Indonesian Civil Servants Corps). The symbolic handover took place at the East Java BKD office and was conducted by bankjatim’s Director of Operations, Arif Suhirman, to the 3rd Deputy Chairman of the KORPRI Management Board, Jazuli, on Friday (30/8).
Arif explained that the ambulance donation is one of bankjatim’s efforts to support the improvement of healthcare services and to promote social welfare for KORPRI members. “We aim to contribute to healthcare services for KORPRI members—whether it's transporting those who are ill to healthcare facilities or taking the deceased to their final resting place. Additionally, the ambulance will support KORPRI administrators in carrying out their upcoming programs,” he said.
The ambulance facility is expected to enhance KORPRI’s responsiveness in dealing with medical emergencies experienced by civil servants (ASN) in East Java. “With this ambulance, we are ready to provide faster and more optimal healthcare services, especially during emergencies that require immediate action,” said Arif.
In addition to supporting KORPRI’s healthcare services, this ambulance donation is also expected to strengthen the relationship between bankjatim and the Civil Service Agency, particularly in their shared mission to improve the welfare of KORPRI members. “This CSR handover is also a reflection of bankjatim’s commitment to playing an active role in sustainable economic development—not only for institutions, but also for communities and society at large,” he added.
Meanwhile, Jazuli expressed his deepest gratitude to bankjatim for the ongoing collaboration. He hopes the partnership with bankjatim will continue to grow in the future. “We truly appreciate bankjatim’s concern for healthcare services for KORPRI members. We will make the best use of this donation to support and serve the community. With this assistance, we hope that both BKD and KORPRI can carry out their humanitarian missions more effectively,” he stated.
