Bank Jatim Cooperates with Surabaya and Tanjung Perak Prosecutors' Office

SURABAYA, August 10, 2023. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk or bankjatim again established cooperation with the Attorney General's Office. After yesterday synergizing with the East Java High Prosecutor's Office, this time bankjatim Surabaya Main Branch conducted a cooperation agreement with the Surabaya District Attorney (Kejari) and a joint agreement with the Tanjung Perak District Attorney (Kejari).
Located in the Bromo Room of bankjatim Head Office, the cooperation agreement was signed by the Head of bankjatim Surabaya Main Branch Johanes Koento with the Head of Surabaya District Attorney Joko Budi Darmawan and the Head of Tanjung Perak District Attorney Aji Kalbu Pribadi on Thursday (10/8). The signing was witnessed by bankjatim's Director of Finance, Treasury and Global Services Edi Masrianto.
Edi explained, bankjatim always always synergize with various parties, including the prosecutor's office which is a strategic partner to improve good corporate governance and strengthen legal insight for all Jatimers. Through this cooperation, it hopes that the Attorney General's Office can help bankjatim Surabaya Main Branch to handle the settlement of civil and state administrative law issues. So that all operational activities and business movements of bankjatim are always in line in the corridor of applicable legal provisions.
According to Edi, many benefits are obtained with the cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office. Among other things, providing legal opinion to mitigate legal risks, providing socialization and legal education to bankjatim employees in banking operations, assisting the purchase of bankjatim assets, handling civil cases in court for lawsuits involving bankjatim, as well as efforts to reduce NPLs due to the progress of payment and repayment of non-performing loans.
"Hopefully this synergy can improve the relationship that has been well established between bankjatim Surabaya Main Branch with the Surabaya District Attorney and Tanjung Perak District Attorney," said Edi.
Head of Surabaya District Attorney Joko Budi Darmawan added, in running the banking business, there are times when bankjatim is faced with legal risks that need to be addressed professionally and comprehensively. Therefore, the purpose of this cooperation is in order to resolve problems or legal disputes in the field of civil and state administration faced by bankjatim Surabaya Main Branch.

As for the scope of this cooperation includes legal assistance, legal considerations, law enforcement, and other legal actions.
