JAKARTA, December 19, 2024. At the end of 2024, the President Director of PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim), Busrul Iman, once again carved out a brilliant achievement. This time, the top leader at bankjatim successfully won an award from Warta Ekonomi as Indonesia CEO Excellence 2024 for Fostering Business Transformation to Create Positive Growth, Category: Regional Bank. Located at The Sultan Hotel Ballroom, Jakarta, the award was received by bankjatim Corporate Secretary Wioga Adhiarma Aji on Thursday night (19/12).
Busrul was granted the award for his leadership and contribution in advancing bankjatim throughout 2023 - 2024. The award is tangible proof of the dedication and hard work carried out by bankjatim’s leadership ranks, especially Busrul Iman as President Director, as well as all Jatimers in improving banking performance and services. “We express our deepest gratitude to Warta Ekonomi for the award given. This award is a manifestation of our commitment to continue innovating and providing the best for customers and all stakeholders,” said Busrul.
BJTM is grateful that amidst various ongoing economic challenges, under the leadership of President Director Busrul Iman, the company remains able to maintain performance and consistently produce various innovative breakthroughs to provide optimal service for customers.
“This award will certainly spur our spirit to continue providing the best service to customers and to contribute positively to society. This predicate was successfully achieved due to the solid cooperation of all Jatimers to keep the company's wheels turning. We believe that a leader's ability to process available resources with an adaptive attitude in various situations is the key to success,” he explained.
Currently, bankjatim’s focus is to continue strengthening services, primarily in the digital banking aspect, JConnect. Especially since currently, the majority of customers already perform various services via smartphone. Busrul explained that the sustainable financial service innovation from Jconnect has successfully shown solid performance. As of November 2024, the number of users reached 811,575. “This shows the role of bankjatim, which continues to move together with the community and business actors to drive inclusive and sustainable economic growth,” he said.
Additionally, bankjatim is also aggressively expanding the ecosystem by establishing synergies with other banks, especially BPDs, and becoming a pioneer of the Bank Business Group (KUB). This synergy provides added value for bankjatim to encourage the joined BPDs to be able to compete in the banking industry. There are 5 BPDs that have undergone the KUB process with BJTM: Bank NTB Syariah, Bank Lampung, Bank Banten, Bank NTT, and Bank Sultra.
“With good performance, recognition from various credible institutions, including this award, will certainly provide added value for us to continue innovating and drive bankjatim's performance to be better from time to time,” concluded Busrul.
