SURABAYA, July 30, 2025. Amidst increasingly tight banking competition, PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk. (Bank Jatim) continues to demonstrate positive performance. This is evident from Bank Jatim's success in navigating the first semester of 2025, supported by accelerated business growth in terms of credit distribution and customer transactions, as well as the momentum of maintained asset quality improvement.

Acting President Director of Bank Jatim, Arif Suhirman, explained that Bank Jatim's consolidated total assets in the first six months of this year successfully reached IDR 118.15 trillion, an increase of 16.71 percent (YoY). Furthermore, the net profit of Bank Jatim (bank only) throughout this first semester stood at IDR 703 billion, growing 13.26 percent (YoY). ”We are grateful that Bank Jatim is still able to record a fairly good performance, especially in obtaining 'bank only' net profit. We are committed to always striving to realize Bank Jatim's vision and mission to become the No. 1 BPD (Regional Development Bank) in Indonesia,” he asserted.

Additionally, during Semester I of this year, Bank Jatim's credit distribution recorded a significant increase of 15.91 percent (YoY). ”For Semester I 2025, Bank Jatim was able to distribute credit (bank only) amounting to IDR 67.31 trillion. Although national and regional economic conditions still face challenges, Bank Jatim was able to record growth in credit distribution. This indicates that there is still an increase in demand for goods and services from the public. It is undeniable that access to financing for business actors must be opened as wide as possible to create new business fields and jobs, so that the economy can rotate and grow,” he revealed.

According to Arif, there are several main focuses that Bank Jatim will implement to maintain its positive performance:

  1. Refocusing on Asset Quality: Improving the structure of assets and liabilities through more selective lending, optimal loan settlements, and sustainable growth of Third-Party Funds (DPK).

  2. Digital Ecosystem Integration: Integrating all business elements—including local governments, MSMEs, and the public—into a relevant and sustainable digital ecosystem.

  3. Bond Issuance: A corporate action to support business expansion and anticipate liquidity tightening. This is part of a series of strategic plans to become the number one BPD in Indonesia.

Arif added that the performance of digital banking services under the JConnect brand throughout Semester I 2025 also achieved positive figures. JConnect Mobile users in the first semester of this year grew by 21.99 percent (YoY). Meanwhile, the transaction nominal reached IDR 29.41 trillion, up 6.56 percent compared to Semester I 2024 (YoY).

Furthermore, JConnect Internet Banking users stood at 10,496, an increase of 15.89 percent (YoY) with a transaction volume of IDR 5.70 trillion. Additionally, the number of unorganic networks, namely Agen Jatim, throughout Semester I 2025 reached 14,008 users, growing 38.68 percent (YoY) with a transaction volume of IDR 190.06 billion.

”Our QRIS Merchants have reached 167,598, growing 25.20 percent (YoY) with a transaction volume of IDR 916.36 billion, up 19.80 percent compared to the same period last year (YoY). The digital application to assist credit request services, Jatim Kilat, also grew positively. This growth shows that Bank Jatim's services are increasingly accepted by the wider community,” Arif detailed.

Arif also acknowledged that the improving business growth occurred because Bank Jatim's credit distribution was maintained and accompanied by strengthening the business through the Bank Business Group (KUB) synergy. To date, there is 1 (one) member of Bank Jatim's KUB, namely Bank NTB Syariah, and 4 (four) candidate members: Bank Lampung, Bank NTT, Bank Sultra, and Bank Banten.

In facing challenges in the second semester, Arif continued, Bank Jatim has prepared various strategies to maintain growth momentum, including remaining oriented towards quality-focused growth, increasing efficiency, and exploring new revenue potential. ”We will continue to work hard to achieve the set targets and provide added value for all stakeholders," Arif concluded.

In addition to positive performance, throughout Semester I 2025, Bank Jatim also succeeded in winning many awards from various events, including the 14th Infobank Digital Brand Awards Isentia 2025, Marketing Contact Center Service Excellence Awards, Indonesia Human Capital Brilliance Awards 2024, The Asian Post The Best Regional Champions 2025, Warta Ekonomi Indonesia Public Relation Awards 2025, and many more.
