SURABAYA, December 13, 2023. Following the initial Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding the formation of a Bank Business Group (KUB), PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) and PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Lampung (Bank Lampung) officially signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) on Wednesday (13/12). This agreement covers information exchange for capital participation, alongside the signing of a Business Synergy Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between the two parties.
The ceremony, held at the bankjatim Head Office, saw the NDA signed by bankjatim President Director Busrul Iman and Bank Lampung President Director Presley Hutabarat. Additionally, two specific PKS were executed: the first regarding Trade Processing Agents and the second regarding Partnership Remittance Services, signed by bankjatim’s Director of Finance, Treasury & Global Services, Edi Masrianto, and Bank Lampung’s Business Director, Ahmad Jahri.
Strategic Collaboration and JConnect Remittance
Busrul Iman emphasized that the spirit of KUB is rooted in synergy across human capital, technology, and business processes. bankjatim’s confidence stems from its successful KUB experience with Bank NTB Syariah.
A key advantage offered to KUB members is JConnect Remittance. With Lampung ranking fifth in Indonesia for the placement of Migrant Workers (PMI)—approximately 9,899 people—the potential for incoming remittance is vast. ”Bank Lampung can directly utilize our JConnect Remittance for international funds transfers. We are technically and operationally ready,” Busrul stated. Currently partnering with Merchantrade (Malaysia), bankjatim plans to expand to Hong Kong and Taiwan. In Malaysia alone, PMI transactions through bankjatim reached IDR 2 trillion within four months.

In the realm of trade finance, bankjatim and Bank Lampung are collaborating on Domestic Documentary Credits (SKBDN). bankjatim offers a comprehensive suite of services including:

Technical Leadership: Sharing Biller and SISTA
From a technological standpoint, bankjatim has deployed its Sharing Biller and SISTA (Your Transaction Solution Integration System) platforms.
Technical Infrastructure: To communicate with regional banks within the KUB, bankjatim provides Host-to-Host (H2H) connectivity using two primary standards: ISO8583 and JSON.
The Sharing Biller system is already integrated with major aggregators such as Tokopedia, Dana, Gojek, Shopee, Blibli, Indomaret, Alfamart, and Pos Indonesia. Furthermore, the SISTA joint development aims to expand the QRIS digital banking ecosystem across various sectors, including education, healthcare, tourism, and local government.
Financial and Digital Performance (Q3 2023)
Bank Jatim’s performance continues to exceed industry averages:

JConnect Mobile: 606,239 users (30% YoY growth), with transaction values reaching IDR 3.3 trillion.

Bank Lampung also reported positive growth as of June 2023, with assets totaling IDR 9.88 trillion and a net profit of IDR 71.52 billion. Currently, both banks are already collaborating through the BI-Fast system.
