SANUR, October 24, 2024. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) continues to showcase its excellence. Following its recent success at the ATM Bersama Awards 2024, bankjatim has once again clinched a prestigious accolade at the Prima Awards 2024. Organized by PT Rintis Sejahtera (Prima Network) in collaboration with Infobank, the event honored bankjatim with the Best Issuer Bank (ATM) – Platinum Award. Held at The Meru Sanur, this distinction was presented by the Vice President Director of PT Rintis Sejahtera (RINTIS), Suryono Hidayat, alongside the Chairman of InfoBank Group, Eko B. Supriyanto, and received directly by bankjatim’s Director of Operations, Arif Suhirman, on Thursday evening (24/10).

Arif expressed his profound appreciation for the recognition bestowed upon bankjatim. He stated that the award serves as a testament to the bank's robust performance and its unwavering commitment to providing superior services that meet public needs. ”We extend our deepest gratitude to our loyal customers and all stakeholders whose support has established bankjatim as a primary choice for banking transactions. We hope this achievement serves as inspiration and motivation for us to continue innovating and enhancing the quality of service for our customers and the community," he remarked.

To complement its service offerings, bankjatim provides a comprehensive network of 847 ATMs strategically located across East Java, Jakarta, and Batam. Furthermore, customers can access financial transactions through the ATM Prima network nationwide. For faster and more accessible banking, bankjatim encourages the use of its digital platform, JConnect Mobile.

Arif further emphasized that, in line with bankjatim's vision to become the Number 1 Regional Development Bank (BPD) in Indonesia, the bank is prepared to provide optimal support to customers anytime and anywhere. Beyond a comprehensive suite of products and services, bankjatim actively provides education and networking opportunities to inspire and assist customers in achieving their goals. ”We hope our various initiatives will strengthen customer trust, convenience, and loyalty. With healthy credit growth and consistently positive asset quality indicators, we have a strong foundation to provide added value. Moving forward, we will continue to elevate the customer experience through digital innovation. Leveraging our resources, digital capabilities, and extensive network, we are ready to create long-term value by prioritizing stakeholder needs and contributing to East Java’s economic growth," he added.

The PRIMA Award is a prestigious recognition forum designed to honor selected banks and Payment Service Providers (PSP) that has been held since 2018. The awards are based on the PRIMA Network Digital Transaction Ratings, a collaborative research effort between PT Rintis Sejahtera and the InfoBank Research Bureau. According to Suryono, the objective of the 2024 Prima Awards is to recognize banks and PSPs for their contributions to implementing secure, efficient, reliable, and inclusive digital payment services.

Suryono also noted that the Prima Awards were part of the “PRIMA Executive Gathering 2024,” which brought together over 90 selected banks and PSPs under the theme “Leveraging Collaboration for Optimal Performance and Cyber Resilience.” This theme reflects the proactive measures taken by the National Payment System industry to support the sustainability of the 2025–2030 Indonesia Payment System Blueprint (BSPI) initiated by Bank Indonesia, as well as to enhance the effectiveness of joint preparation efforts.

According to Suryono, the implementation of BSPI 2025 has proven to be a "game changer." The digitalization of payments has accelerated rapidly and evenly, spanning from central to regional levels, urban to rural areas, and large corporations to micro-enterprises. “For instance, QRIS adoption has successfully reached 34.2 million merchants, 92.5% of which are MSMEs. According to World Bank data, our financial inclusion rate has reached 53% after being stagnant at 49% for years,” Suryono said, citing Bank Indonesia data. These positive results are the outcome of collective efforts between regulators, the industry, the government, and all stakeholders working together to realize the goals of BSPI 2025.
