As a form of commitment in order to support MSMEs, especially in Kediri Regency and as a form of social responsibility to the community, PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk. (bankjatim) handed over CSR bankjatim care to the Government of Kediri Regency (Pemkab Kediri) in the form of supporting equipment for MSME production to 148 MSMEs in Kediri Regency located at the UMKM outlet Pare Kediri Regency (06/02/2023). The CSR handover was carried out directly symbolically by Pgs. Compliance Director of bankjatim Tonny Prasetyo together with the Regional Secretary of Kediri Regency Mohamad Solikin to two representatives of MSME players.

Mohamad Solikin in his speech conveyed the consideration of why Kediri Regency determined the CSR target for MSMEs. "Currently, the population in Indonesia is around 275 million people, almost 30 percent of which are in productive age, in Kediri district itself as much as 30 percent are in productive age, this is a serious problem when the number of productive age does not get jobs," explained Mohamad Solikin.

"Covid is a lesson for business people, and those who are able to survive are MSME players," continued Solikin. "We hope that MSMEs in Kediri district can grow and develop and upgrade", Solikin added. "The issue of MSMEs is a priority, with this CSR, we hope that the economy will grow and the welfare of the community, especially in Kediri district", Solikin hoped.

"Once again we would like to thank bankjatim for the CSR given to us, hopefully the collaboration between the Kediri Regency Government and bankjatim is expected to improve the economy, especially the people of Kediri Regency and its surroundings," said Solikin.

On the occasion, Tonny Prasetyo said that in addition to business, bankjatim also provides value or values to the people in the environment around us. This is manifested in the CSR bankjatim care program. "Besides that, it is a form of our synergy to realize social programs for the creation of a more environmentally friendly economy by involving Stakeholders and Shareholders in development in the region," explained Tonny.

"Hopefully, we can provide this CSR program to the community.

"Hopefully the CSR that we provide can help in the productivity of MSME business actors, thus opening up new jobs, increasing the competitiveness of MSMEs and boosting the economy of the people in the Kediri Regency Region," said Tonny.

"Currently bankjatim continues to innovate to provide convenience to the people of Kediri Regency in transactions, especially in the current era of digitalization, including the use of QRIS and the use of JConnect mobile for payment of local taxes and levies. We hope that bankjatim's cooperation with the Kediri Regency Government can continue to grow to support the improvement of the regional economy, especially in Kediri Regency, "hoped Tonny.

"I represent the management, hoping that bankjatim will continue to innovate.

"I represent the management hope that bankjatim Pare and Kediri Branches can continue to synergize and go hand in hand with the programs run by the Government of Kediri Regency as stakeholders and the community to increase economic growth and develop regional potential", concluded Tonny.
