Bank Jatim wins awards in TOP BUMD Awards 2023

JAKARTA, April 5, 2023. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk or bankjatim has won a proud award in the TOP BUMD Awards 2023 event held at Dian Ballroom, Raffles Hotel, Jakarta on Wednesday (5/4). The award that was successfully brought by bankjatim was as TOP BUMD 2023 with a five-star predicate and TOP CEO BUMD 2023 which was awarded to the President Director of Bank Jatim Busrul Iman. On the occasion, East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa also managed to win the award for the Top BUMD 2023 Supervisor category.
Busrul explained, this award proves that bankjatim is always committed to carrying out its role as a collaborator of economic growth in the region, especially East Java. "This award will certainly further motivate us to continue to innovate and improve competitiveness, services, and company performance on an ongoing basis to support economic growth," he said.
Busrul emphasized that the TOP BUMD 2023 award with a five-star predicate given to bankjatim is because the company with the BJTM issuer code is considered to have good performance achievements, its leadership is in line with the BUMD vision, and has made sustainable innovations supported by information technology. In addition, bankjatim is also considered to have a large and important role in economic development in the region and deserves to be an example for other BUMDs.
His side hopes that this proud achievement can be an encouragement for companies to continue to increase corporate brand awareness, maintain brand image and company performance, and can contribute to improving the regional economy. "We are ready to continue to bring innovation through synergy and collaboration with various parties, including increasing financial carrying capacity through digitalization for the development of bankjatim's business in a sustainable manner," he said.
As for bankjatim's financial performance for the fiscal year 2022 showed positive achievements and grew when compared to the same period the previous year (Year on Year / YoY). bankjatim managed to record a net profit of Rp 1.54 trillion and an increase in assets of 103.03 trillion or grew 2.29% (YoY). While the composition of bankjatim's financial ratios for the period December 2022, among others, Return on Asset (ROA) of 1.95%, Return on Equity (ROE) of 16.24% and Net Interest Margin (NIM) of 5.11%.
Meanwhile, the TOP BUMD Awards organized by Top Business Magazine in collaboration with the Institute of Regional Autonomy (i-OTDA) as well as several institutions, associations, and business consultants is a learning activity and BUMD performance award given to the best BUMD, BUMD CEO, BUMD Supervisor (Regional Head) in Indonesia. Through this activity, it is hoped that each BUMD can be encouraged to always excel in regional development and the national economy.
