Bank Jatim Facilitates SME Terminal and Trans Jatim Bus QRIS Payment

MOJOKERTO, August 20, 2023. The East Java Provincial Government (Pemprov) again inaugurated the Trans Jatim bus fleet. After inaugurating corridor I exactly a year ago, this time the East Java Provincial Government inaugurated corridor II Mojokerto-Terminal Purabaya Sidoarjo route on Sunday (20/8) at Kertajaya Mojokerto Terminal. East Java Governor Khofifah Indah Parawansa in her speech said, Trans Jatim Bus is a favorite public transportation for the community. Since the launch of Trans Jatim Bus Corridor 1 at the Porong Sidoarjo terminal last year, the number of passengers has continued to increase. So that the East Java Provincial Transportation Agency has now increased the number of buses. Currently, the East Java Provincial Government is also opening a new route of Trans Jatim Bus Corridor II with the route Mojokerto -Surabaya.
"We hope that the opening of cheap and affordable mass transportation will increase tourist visits to the Mojokerto area," said Khofifah. In addition, the opening of Corridor II is also expected to increase purchasing power in the Mojokerto area so that the economy will move quickly," Khofiah Khofifah hoped.
Meanwhile, in his remarks, Nyono said that the high number of passengers using Trans Jatim, made the East Java Provincial Government together with the East Java Provincial Transportation Office inaugurate Trans Jatim Corridor II. "Currently, Trans Jatim Corridor II has 20 buses that operate every day, starting at 05.00-21.00 WIB and 2 spare buses. This bus has also been equipped with the latest technology and applications so that users of Trans Jatim transportation are increasingly facilitated, "added Nyono.
"Currently there are 53 Trans Jatim bus stops that will make it easier for passengers to enjoy mass transportation. In addition, complete information about routes, bus stop locations, bus schedules, and passenger data can be accessed through the AJAIB application or the Jatim Bus Information Application on the Google Play Store and App Store," Nyono explained.
Director of bankjatim Busrul Iman said that the signing of cooperation with Dishub Jatim is a form of bankjatim's commitment to the empowerment of MSMEs, especially those in the Mojokerto Terminal environment.
"In addition, in terms of payment, now people who want to use Trans Jatim Bus transportation also do not need to bother. Because, the payment can already use QRIS bankjatim. "In this case we have been working with the East Java Transportation Agency since Corridor I was launched by providing support for non-cash payment tools, namely QRIS," Busrul explained.
Meanwhile, bankjatim QRIS continues to experience significant growth compared to the previous year period (YoY). As of Semester I 2023, bankjatim QRIS has been used by 90,403 users or grew 61% (YoY) with nominal transactions reaching Rp 56 billion or grew 76% (YoY). "We will continue to develop digital payments to support the acceleration of digitalization. "Hopefully through this activity bankjatim can continue to be a good partner for the East Java Provincial Government and all its products and services can be useful for all customers," concluded Busrul.
