Empowering MSME Growth: Bank Jatim Distributes CSR Assistance to Pamekasan Regency Government.

PAMEKASAN, November 14, 2024. As a manifestation of its commitment to supporting the progress of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) has recently handed over Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assistance to the Pamekasan Regency Government in the form of various MSME production equipment. Held at the Pamekasan Regency Hall, the CSR assistance was symbolically presented by the Pamekasan Branch Manager of bankjatim, Dian Libriyanti, to the Acting Regent of Pamekasan, Masrukin, on Wednesday (14/11).
The President Director of bankjatim, Busrul Iman, explained that the MSME equipment provided to the business actors included various specialized machinery, such as Tekiro press machines, 200kg animal feed mixers, 2-liter oil spinners, 4-inch Makita grinders, gas ovens, 30cm wood planers, and more. ”We provide these with the primary objectives of reducing unemployment, enhancing MSME quality, and supporting productivity. We anticipate that this will improve the welfare of business owners while simultaneously strengthening the local economy in Pamekasan Regency,” he elaborated.
According to Busrul, MSMEs play a pivotal role in the economy of East Java and Indonesia alike. The sector serves as the primary driver of the national economy and the backbone of the wider community. MSMEs are also crucial for job creation in East Java. Therefore, this assistance is part of a strategic effort to accelerate MSMEs toward 'scaling up' by increasing production capacity, quality, and business reach.

Busrul further added that this CSR assistance reflects bankjatim's appreciation and care for the Pamekasan community, which has placed its trust in the company to grow its business. ”Our focus extends beyond business growth; we pursue values that deliver tangible benefits to the community. Stimulating MSMEs in Pamekasan to enhance their product quality through this equipment will enable them to penetrate wider markets in the future,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Masrukin expressed his profound gratitude to bankjatim for the support provided to the local MSMEs. He hopes that with the new equipment, MSMEs will be more enthusiastic about increasing brand awareness and product quality, ensuring their goods are recognized and trusted by both existing and new consumers. ”Additionally, we hope this assistance increases income and streamlines production processes. For example, manual sewing processes that have now been modernized will lead to increased output and the realization of MSME welfare,” he concluded.
