MALANG, February 7, 2026. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) held its 2026 Annual Work Meeting (Rakerta) on Friday and Saturday (February 6-7, 2026). The Rakerta is a strategic forum to evaluate the previous year's performance while simultaneously formulating policy directions and business strategies for 2026. Held at the Grand Mercure Mirama Hotel Ballroom in Malang, the event was attended by the Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa; the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2009-2014 period, Prof. Dr. Ir. Mohammad Nuh, DEA; the Board of Commissioners; the Sharia Supervisory Board; the Board of Directors; SEVPs; VPs; and all branch and sub-branch managers of Bank Jatim.
The 2026 Rakerta carries the theme "Audacity to Fly Higher," which signifies the courage to fly higher and achieve even greater positive results. This theme represents the bravery to go further and take strategic leaps in facing increasingly competitive business dynamics. The main objectives of the 2026 Rakerta include providing tactical direction for branches and divisions along with all "Jatimers" (Bank Jatim employees), serving as a concrete guide in drafting action plans, providing a motivational boost to achieve GRC-based performance, and acting as a forum to begin the orchestration of achieving Bank Jatim's vision.
Bank Jatim President Director Winardi Legowo explained that "Audacity to Fly Higher" reflects a spirit of transformation and optimism, as well as an invitation to all Jatimers to step out of their comfort zones and bravely face challenges with innovation, collaboration, and superior execution. "We conduct this work meeting routinely at the beginning of every year to unify our vision, provide strategic direction, and strengthen work culture and internal cohesion so that the 2026 targets can be achieved," he said.
In 2026, Winardi continued, Bank Jatim is committed to further strengthening business performance, corporate governance, and accelerating digital transformation to drive sustainable and inclusive growth. According to him, the 2026 Rakerta is a vital momentum to align the company's vision and strategic steps in facing the increasingly competitive dynamics of the banking industry.
"We are optimistic that by 2030, Bank Jatim will be able to become the number 1 Regional Development Bank (BPD) in Indonesia across all parameters—be it in terms of third-party funds, quality credit distribution, profit growth, or total asset strengthening. This vision is not just a target, but our commitment to providing a real contribution to the economic development of East Java," he emphasized.
To reach this vision, Bank Jatim has set its 2026 strategic focus. First, the 3 Business Strategy, which focuses on three main aspects: achieving low-cost funding through optimized collection of low-cost funds, increasing the quality of credit distribution supported by efficient liquidity, and increasing digital banking transactions.
Second, the 2 Enabler Strategy, which serves as the primary foundation in supporting Bank Jatim’s business acceleration. This focus includes strengthening good corporate governance to ensure the company's management remains transparent, accountable, and possesses integrity. Additionally, the company will strengthen its systems and technology as a strategic step to support service innovation, increase operational efficiency, and strengthen the security and reliability of the company's digital systems.
Third, the 1 People Development Strategy, which emphasizes improving the quality of human resources as the company's primary asset. Bank Jatim is committed to continuously developing competence, professionalism, and an adaptive and innovative work culture so that all Jatimers are able to meet industry challenges and support the sustainable achievement of the company's business targets.
"Through the implementation of this 3-2-1 strategy, we are optimistic that we can strengthen the company's competitiveness, improve financial performance, and provide added value for customers, shareholders, and all stakeholders, while simultaneously strengthening Bank Jatim's steps toward becoming the number one BPD in Indonesia," said Winardi.
Meanwhile, the Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, appreciated Bank Jatim's strategic role in supporting regional economic development, particularly through strengthening the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector. According to her, Bank Jatim's support for MSMEs is a key factor in maintaining regional economic resilience while encouraging equitable economic growth in East Java. "Bank Jatim has an important role as the driving engine of the regional economy. Its role is not only to distribute financing but also to ensure MSMEs 'level up' and possess competitiveness," said Khofifah.
Khofifah assessed that the involvement of Bank Jatim-assisted MSMEs in Trade Missions is an indicator of the success of the integrated coaching patterns—ranging from access to financing and product quality improvement to the expansion of marketing networks. "The MSMEs we have brought on various trade missions are not just for exhibition. They are production-ready, quality-ready, and market-ready. This is proof that Bank Jatim's role in mentoring MSMEs truly has an impact," she stated.
Furthermore, Khofifah emphasized that the East Java Provincial Government remains committed to encouraging MSMEs and Small and Medium Industries (IKM) to level up through various coaching programs, marketing facilitation, product quality strengthening, and expanding market access, both offline and digitally.
