MALANG, December 30, 2024. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) has signed a memorandum of understanding or Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Politeknik Negeri Malang (Polinema) on Monday (30/12). The signed MoU is regarding Cooperation in the Implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tri Dharma) and Human Resource Development as well as Financial Services. Located at Polinema, the MoU was signed by bankjatim SEVP of Corporate, Syndication, and Institutional Koerniawan Prijambodo and the Director of Polinema Supriatna Adhisuwignjo.
President Director of bankjatim Busrul Iman explained that the cooperation plan to be carried out between bankjatim and Polinema covers many things. These include bankjatim's financial services in the form of both funding and lending services. In addition, synergy will also be carried out in the fields of education, research, community service, the Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) program, as well as the improvement and empowerment of human resources. The MBKM program, initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, is a program that encourages universities to partner with companies to facilitate access to work practices and student internships.
“bankjatim indeed pays serious attention to the world of education by supporting various education development programs in Indonesia. We are very enthusiastic about this cooperation. We believe that synergy between the banking world and academics is an important step in creating a young generation ready to face global challenges,” explained Busrul.
His party hopes that through this cooperation, Polinema students can obtain valuable practical experience in the banking world, and at the same time, this is a form of bankjatim's contribution to improving the quality of higher education in East Java. “Hopefully, this cooperation can create synergy between the academic world and industry so that in the future it can develop innovations and new programs that will ultimately contribute to the economic development of East Java,” said Busrul.
Meanwhile, Supriatna Adhisuwignjo expressed his deepest gratitude to bankjatim for this well-established collaboration. According to him, MBKM is an effort to prepare human resources, especially students, to be ready to face the world of work with qualified competencies, the ability to collaborate, think critically, creatively, and the ability to innovate. “We believe the synergy between the world of education and the world of industry provides benefits not only for students but also for the industrial world, including the banking world, and bankjatim in particular,” he concluded.
